Ah yes, after adding all the glorious gems you can see in the previous post below, we’re starting off our Monday with two very limited edition goods. The first is the “Resist” T-shirt by Joey Potts in classic, anarchistic red-on-white format. This is available for men and women. The other goody for today is the limited edition (50, signed & numbered) giclée print by Escape76. “Perception” is full color on heavy velvet cotton rag, so you know the quality is of the utmost. This is available in our “Accessories” section of the online store until we run out. The gettin’ is ridiculous this week, so don’t sleep!
Awww yessssssssssssssssss. New gear has shipped out to our retailers worldwide, so in case you missed this Secret Stash, we made very few extras for you. Check out the online store to get new hats and T-shirts for both men and women, as designed by Joey Potts, Brian Morris, Escape76, Jim Mahfood (Food One), and MCA (Evil Design). There aren’t many and they won’t last long, so get ‘em while the gettin’ exists. Hit the online store right here. Also, don’t forget that our new Secret Stash, dedicated to SOLVE, can be seen at www.solvelives.com.
That world traveling crazy art legend ABOVE has done it again, this time with his new prints released by Italian company Studiocromie. The “Real,” “Sexy,” and “Fuck” prints are screenprinted and die-cut arrows, which follow along the lines of ABOVE’s classic style known around the world. You can pick them up separately, or get a deal if you order all three. These bad boys are 34×49 cm each, mostly screenprinted but with a couple of layers sprayed on by ABOVE himself. Each one is signed and numbered, and only 100 were made. Get them while the getting exists! Oh yeah, that would be by following this link for the separates and this link for the set.
In case you didn’t know or haven’t seen our front page for the past few weeks, legendary street artist SOLVE was senselessly killed in Chicago this June. In tribute to him, we teamed up with his family, as well as artists SARO and BONUS, to create a memorial T-shirt for him. All proceeds from this project will be donated to SOLVE’s family/memorial fund. You can order shirts and read more about SOLVE at the stash website: www.solvelives.com. Spread the word, and feel free to contact us with any questions. R.I.P. SOLVE (1984-2008).
Our good friend and more or less family member Joe M500 has decided to trade his Jeep Cherokee to charity in exchange for a free bike from the crew over at New Belgium Brewing Company, makers of Fat Tire and other delicious treats. This will take place for New Belgium’s Tour De Fat (see the site and a mini-essay from Joe here) event this weekend in Chicago. The great team over at The Chicagoist also posted a story about Joe’s trade-in, along with a video. We’ve embedded it below, but you can read the story and see the video here as well. Not only is this an awesome thing to do for the environment and a gazillion other reasons, but gas in Chicago is about $4.50 per gallon now (that’s regular unleaded, no joke), so Joe will no doubt be saving thousands by pledging to live car-free for at least one year. An awesome sidenote: Joe is wearing our “Insider Effects” T-shirt by Joey Potts in the video. Word is bondage…
The blog What To Wear During An Orange Alert has chosen yours truly, Escape76, as their Artist of the Week. Woohoo! You can read the interview with me, which covers a lot about Formula Werks and Freshly Dipped, right here. Enjoy.
The good guys over at Robust Flavor sat down with Formula Werks co-creative director Escape76 last week to chat about design, the FWX life, and all that fun stuff. You can see the interview here. If you want a QuickTime version of their slideshow, you can check it out here. A grainy YouTube version is below; we suggest the QuickTime original.
Don’t forget that the new Secret Motherfuckin’ Stash is up for this week as well (see below post for info on that). You can get the new goods at www.scumbagnation.com. Don’t miss out!
Hells jeah. Our “Secret Motherfuckin’ Stash” is back in action, this week only!
New gear from Joey Potts, Brian Morris, MCA (Evil Design), Food One (Jim Mahfood), and Escape76 is now available. Four new tees, two new hoodies, and two new caps. You can only order through this week, and then the goods will be gone forever.
If you’ve participated in a secret pop-up site before, you know how it works. If you don’t, just hit the site and all the info will be presented, along with all the freshness laid out before your eyes.
This run also includes a free sticker pack, free button pack, and free worldwide shipping on every order. Aaaand, orders of $100 or more get a bonus T-shirt. You know how we do!
Some of Chicago’s artistic beasts are getting together for the “5″ show this weekend in the gallery of our good friends at A.Okay Official. This includes FWX maestro, artist and curator Revise CMW, along with his pals Cove, Lana Crooks, Max Bare, and a rare gallery appearance from Nick Bach. Drinks will be flowin’, art will be bangin’, and people will be lovely. Be sure to head out there Saturday; you’ll also be treated to a live musical performance by our friends Meat Number 5.
